Richard Gere defiende con uñas y dientes el papel protagonista, un abogado luchador que da todo por defender a su cliente.
Sin embargo, Edward Norton, el presunto asesino al que defiende, le eclipsa con una actuación digna de recordar: un joven católico que es acusado de matar al cura que lo protegía y que sufre un trastorno de personalidad.
Con momentos geniales y una gran química entre Gere y Norton, ésta es una de esas películas que todo aficionado al Derecho no puede perderse.
