Una típica familia estadounidense se ve obligada a irse a vivir a un país extranjero por trabajo.
Al llegar se dan cuenta que algo raro está pasando...
Trhiller entretenido en el que tú tampoco pararás de correr.

Pulso "play" comienza Golpe de estado.
Owen y su familia están en un avión rumbo a lo desconocido. La empresa del cabeza de familia requiere sus servicios en un país asiático.
En el avión conocen a un ex agente 007 (bastante más elegante que el rubiales actual) eso hace sonar nuestras alarmas. Con la carecterización que han puesto a Pierce algo nos dice que va a repartir plomo.
Llegan al destino y en apariencia todo normal, pero de camino al hotel Owen empieza a percibir que algo no marcha bien. En fin, son muchas horas de viaje, igual se equivoca.
Al entrar al hotel ve, entre otras, una foto suya en un cartel que le da la bienvenida. Es un "currela" de una importante empresa que se dedica al tema hidráulico.
Según llegan a la habitación se dan cuenta de que no hay teléfono ni internet y claro, eso ya huele muy mal. En fin mañana será otro día.
De buena mañana el bueno de Owen va a comprar un periódico y... ahí empieza todo. (Owen, vete calentando para no tener agujetas).
La población está que fuma en pipa pero no se sabe muy bien el motivo. Owen no se para a preguntar porque ha visto cómo los manifestantes se cargan a un madero y cree oportuno dejarlo para otro momento, así que empieza a correr hacia el hotel.
Los manifestantes del lugar no son como los de aquí. Nada de "unos cánticos reivindicativos y nos vamos de cañas". Ahí están todos poseídos por el espíritu de Rambo y a todo "blanquito" que se les cruza le mandan de vacaciones al Valhalla.
La ciudad es suya, y han entrado en el hotel de Owen. Así que ahora se la familia también se apunta a la moda del "running".
Se nos desvela el motivo de tanta muerte. Los lugareños están en contra de la empresa de Owen.
Puenting sin cuerda, carreras, muertes, sangre, (los guionistas dieron rienda suelta a su sed de sangre).
A estas alturas estás en el sofá con el ojete en modo corta puros.
La familia de runners está acorralada, el final parece inminente... entra en escena Bond, James Bond.
No falla una el tío pistolas. Rescata a todos y les cobija en un "putetxe"/fumadero de crack/opio.
Aquí Bond les explica a qué tanto mosqueo de los locales. La empresa de Owen quiere hacerse con el control del agua y de paso hacer que los habitantes del lugar contraigan una deuda que no puedan pagar.
(Mmm... esa empresa no tiene ética. ¿Os imagináis a Ibertrola o Timofónica haciendo algo así? Noooooooo, claro que nooooo...)
Thomas Crown no dura mucho vivo así que "Rubiales & Cía" tiene que seguir corriendo. (Yo ya estoy sudando de verles).
Más violencia, una escena con una de las hijas de Owen que... ¡madre! qué tensión (estos guionístas están dándole al "Monster" que no veas) y llega la luz al final de túnel. Tiene gracia qué país rescata a los americanos.
La película es entretenida y hace reflexionar sobre el capitalismo y los límites del aguante humano.
No va a ganar el Óscar pero a mí me gustó. Ver a Owen en un papel serio (y haciéndolo creíble) mola.
