Una cinta legendaria de la historia del cine que sin embargo está muy sobrevalorada.
Cocteau es Cocteau, pero La bella y la bestia, pese a durar sólo 90 minutos, se hace bastante pesada, especialmente para los niños que se animen a verla por la cinta animada de Disney. No emociona demasiado, no entretiene... será maravillosa, pero no ha resistido bien el paso del tiempo.
