Drama Joseph (Peter Mullan), a tormented, self-destructive man plagued by violence, finds hope of redemption in Hannah (Olivia Colman), a Christian charity-shop worker he meets one day while fleeing an altercation. Initially derisive of her faith and presumed idyllic existence, Joseph nonetheless returns to the shop and soon realizes that Hannah’s life is anything but placid. Impresionante película, no tiene efectos especiales, ni escenas de sexo, ni banda sonora de infarto, pero lo que nos queda es cine en estado puro. Destaca por su extrema crudeza, es incómoda de ver, es violenta, seca, áspera, por momentos triste, amarga, dolorosa, de atmósfera sórdida.......Impresionante la interpretación del sr. Mullan, de oscar, (también la de Olivia). Viéndola, florecen sentimientos de odio, asco, pena..... Lo dicho, cine en toda su salsa, impresionante. Es obligatoria verla.
