Marzipan Flowers es un film desacomplejado que recuerda los primeros films de Almodovar o Araki. Universo LGTB y estética desenfadada, para una trama inverosímil pero que parece buscar más entretener que reivindicar.

Su propuesta estética puede provocar rechazo y su ritmo narrativo deja bastante que desear. No es un producto para todos los públicos, y a pesar de ello, será interesante ver otras propuestas del debutante Adam Kalderon.
