TV Series. Thriller La marraine or The Godmother, is a French crime mini-series based on the true story of Ines Barbosa-Hernandez, better known as "The Godmother of the Cali Cartel." Claudia Ferri plays Ines and the series begins with her arrest in the late 1990s for cocaine trafficking, and then flashes back to show how she rose to power, and then came to abuse that power.
