During excavations in the center of Paris, archaeologist Sophie Beranger (Hélène Seuzaret) discovers an uncorrupted corpse of an important general of Napoleon's army. Amazed, she notices that the body is still alive two centuries later. Sophie soon finds herself involved in a turbulent plot of dark powers, where the spear of Longinus, the one stuck in the side of Christ, goes from legend to reality.
