Drama. Romance The tragic course of forbidden love fuels this intensely romantic drama from Sri Lanka. The attraction a widowed man feels for a woman whose husband is a soldier away at war is condemned by the village population. Their transgressions become freighted with even greater importance because the man is a water-gate keeper, and the town is gradually being deprived of water.
