Synopsis

Paris, in the post-war years. Jan Bojarski, a Polish refugee, is known in the underworld as "the Cézanne of counterfeiting". For fifteen years, he maintains an impeccable double life: while his family lives a normal life at home, he manufactures banknotes in an artisanal shed with such precision that they manage to evade the controls of the Bank of France. This technical mastery makes him the obsession of commissioner Mattei, initiating a manhunt that, for both of them, will no longer be a matter of law but a personal duel.
