- Synopsis
- The only memory Joy has of her biological mother is the name the latter gave her before abandoning her when she was just a baby. After spending her childhood in different orphanages in Amsterdam, the girl tries to find her own place in the world. Meanwhile, she struggles with the burden of not having family roots with which she can identify. Although her boyfriend Moumou does everything he can to help her, an idea starts to grow in Joy’s mind: she will only be happy when she is reunited with the person who brought her into the world. This idea finally becomes an obsession and encourages her to obtain her mother’s address.
