Synopsis

Eva Bruhns is a fun-loving, naive and in love twenty-four-year-old whose life takes an unexpected turn when she is hired as a translator for the first Auschwitz trial in Frankfurt. Specifically, her job is to be an interpreter at the trial of Nazi SS officers during the war. Her parents and her future fiancé try to dissuade her, but she follows her instincts and accepts the job. She soon realizes that she has a more personal connection to the trial than she ever would have thought, never imagining how it will affect her life.
