Synopsis

Contrarily to his hopes and dreams, Italian boxer Michele ‚Mike' Lo-Russo has to admit that he has no chance of becoming the professional boxer he wanted to be in Hamburg, Germany. So he moves back to Triest, to his sister Anna, who has dedicated her life to her younger brother after the death of their parents. As always, she tries to help Michele. She asks his former trainer to train him once more, but despite these efforts no one in Italy makes him an offer. Mike becomes more and more frustrated. A boxing manager whom he had met in Germany introduces him to the world of illegal boxing. Soon Michele finds himself stuck in a world that has its own, deadly rules - a world which he cannot leave out of his own accord.In the words of director Fulvio Bernasconi when asked about his captivating, dramatic debut: ‚Out of bounds is a journey to those dark and violent parts every one of us has. They usually come out in normal, day to day situations.
