- Francesca is a transsexual in an unsteady relationship with Marcelo, who leaves her when she finds out that he had another woman. Just then, her old friend Paula reappears in a deplorable state and heavily pregnant. Francesca takes her into her home, gradually realising that this may be the opportunity to form the family she could never create with Marcelo.
