Synopsis

Marielena lives in the slums outside Caracas. She is poor, honest and beautiful. She suffers the trauma of being raped. Destiny has a hand in the meeting between Marielena and Daniel, a young man whose family is very wealthy. Love begins to grow between then until Marielena discovers Daniel is the brother of her attacker. Marielena accuses them both to the authorities but Daniel proves his innocence. Marielena marries Daniel but the marriage is short lived and it isn't until after Marielena is treated by a psychiatrist that she is able to free herself from the past and start a new life with Daniel.
