- Synopsis
- From 1890 to 1925, New York was crowned by a replica of the Giralda in Seville. Somewhat higher than the original, it dominated the midtown sky of Manhattan for many years. It was part of Madison Square Garden and numerous social and economic events took place that marked the evolution of the United States and many of the trends that now dominate the life of the Big Apple. Inside, the businesses and parties of a large part of the New York upper class of the time were developed. Also, the great battle of the two magnates that gave rise to modern journalism, Joseph Pulitzer and W.R. Hearst (protagonist of "Citizen Kane"). In addition, it was the scene of the so-called "crime of the century", in the person of its architect, Stanford White.
