Synopsis: This animated tale of the brave John and the beautiful Marie is about a poor boy’s true love for a delicate water sprite. John goes out into the world guided by three good spirits who protect him on his way, council him in difficult situations and test his character. The story retells the story of how the two lovers search for and find one another and their adventures in overcoming traps set by magic forces and evil men before they can come together with the help of magic.
