Synopsis: Lumière brothers present in "Départ de cyclistes" ("Departure of Cyclists") a black and white short piece following the starting point of a highly disputed bicycle race with several cycle runners crossing over a famous French avenue. While the countless bicycles and runners come and go from our view, there's also time to notice the observers on each side of the avenue watching the event with a great sense of curiosity.
