- Synopsis
- Short film made up of pre-war and post-war recordings Budapest, made by the director-photographer Gyuricza János. The effect is breathtaking but the film was pulled by censors only after one year of showing because of the frame story featuring two American Hungarians visiting the city. The film was available only in the archives of the film factory, in one copy, which was so loved by the workers that a third of it disappeared in form of souvenirs. In the 1990's a 16mm copy was found, left behind by the photographer Bodrossy Félix. What you can see here is a version restored from two different sources.
