Synopsis

In the summer of 1944, Home Guard Csorba uses the reward leave he earned through murder to escape. He tries to reach the cave of those who intend to die, high up in the Carpathians, with his old grandmother, Mama, because he assumes that his mother and his father, a military deserter, are also hiding there.
