Dave Bannion is an upright but unscrupulous cop on the trail of a vicious gang he suspects holds power over the police force. Historia sobre las corrupciones policiales en New York en los años 40 y cómo un policia legal investiga la sospechosa muerte de un compañero. Interesante intriga de policias y mafiosos, en otra gran trama del maestro Lang, donde los hombres incorruptibles se mezclan con mujeres fatales, que les hacen perder los papeles.
