Filme europeo independiente y antepenúltima película del genial e introvertido realizador polaco Kieslowski. Obra culmen de su carrera en el que todos, inevitablemente, caemos ante su dolor, su historia bien estructurada y su moribunda personaje principal, interpretada por una magnífica Juliette Binoche.
