Llevar al cine la vida de Truman Capote no es fácil y este film lo consigue en gran medida. El personaje te lo crees totalmente, es él, Capote era así, hablaba así y se conducía así, basta ver cualquier vídeo de él en YOUTUBE o leer cualquier entrevista.
Por otra parte, la fama y la reputación de gran escritor sureño es merecida, si bien la gloria de su novela A Sangre Fría me parece cuestionable no desde el punto de vista literario sino desde la ética. Convertir unos truculentos asesinatos reales en un best-seller me parece, cuando menos, cuestionable.
El film está bien, te engancha y te envuelve sin que llegue a sobrecoger, porque tiene una atmósfera muy conseguida. No pasa de ser un buen film, interesante, pero nada más.
