Valorar a La Huérfana como simple cine de terror es injusto. La película de Collet-Serra va mucho más allá porque realmente es una película sobre lo diferente. La diferencia no es mala siempre que el hecho de serlo no conlleve un engaño para los demás. La huérfana es un engaño edípico construido sobre las sólidas bases de unos actores solventes y en algunos casos brillantes (Isabelle Fuhrman podría ser nominada al Oscar). Historia repleta de tópicos y sustos fáciles que se convierte en un caramelo envenenado y potente en unos diez minutos finales tan trágicos como demoledoamente efectivos. Es una película que debe ser vista porque nos enseña que lo mismo contado de manera diferente puede ser muy bueno.
