Louis Malle dirige la película con mucha sobriedad, sin grandes ornamentos, sin una historia enrevesada, sin actores de renombre mundial y demuestra otra vez la estupidez de que si no es un gran taquillazo la película no merece la pena. Forma parte de la historia del cine y eso es algo que los taquillazos nunca tendrán: inmortalidad. Soberbia.
