Mucho más aterradora que la mini serie de 1990 con unas escenas realmente terroríficas y otras escenas bastante perturbadoras con algunos planos y movimientos de cámara inusuales en el cine de terror. Lo más notable es que hace mucho mérito al libro y es una de las grandes sorpresas de este año.
