Esta serie documental retrata con gran detalle el entorno histórico y social en el que tuvieron lugar los hechos que abordan la desgracia que acaeció en Alccàsser. Si bien peca en varios aspectos que hacen que de haber sido una producción notable, pase a ser solamente una más entre el montón.

Y esto se debe a qué pese a esa rica descripción sobre el escenario y tiempo en el que se desarrollaron los hechos, el contenido sobre la comisión del delito en sí es parco y pobre. No se profundiza en la búsqueda de la verdad sobre lo ocurrido, ciñiéndose meramente al relato de lo ya conocido y , con este, dirigiendo al espectador hacia una conclusión cuasi dogmática.
Esta producción peca sobre la línea que intenta marcar, tratando de hacer ver al que está sentado frente al televisor que tanto el padre de una de las víctimas como el criminólogo del que se ayuda buscaron satisfacer su ego y su bolsillo, respectivamente. De lo segundo, cabe la posibilidad. De lo primero, se han olvidado de que este hombre sigue siendo el padre de una de esas pobres niñas, atreviéndose a sembrar la duda sobre su persona.
No osbtante, si tal desfachatez no fuere suficiente, los minutos finales del último capítulo son la verdadera matraca final, punto en el que se muestran las verdaderas intenciones de la creación de esta serie. Esto último únicamente responde a un afán de politización de aquella desgracia del levante español, pues sin tapujos se presenta una propaganda contra la violencia de género, que si bien hubiese sido lo más loable en otro contexto, en este caso no viene a cuento. La sensación es más de un trozo de campaña de cierto sector político que una conclusión derivada de los acontecimientos, con la que por desgracia sitúa a los hombres (sin hacer distinciones) como delincuentes y opresores de la libertad del género opuesto, olvidando que no se debe generalizar y que son <<algunos>> quienes cometen atrocidades semejantes a lo ocurrido en Alcàsser. Sobre esto último, no cabe duda de que quienes cometen sendos crímenes merece el peor de los castigos
