Incomparable argumentación sobre el concepto de la Belleza. La confrontación de un intelectual (insuperable actuación de Dirk Bogarde!) con su concepción espiritual de la Belleza y la realidad de ésta encarnada por un bello adolescente, lo llevan a abdicar totalmente de sus ideas. Un marco magistral de una Venezia asolada por la peste. Una de las pocas películas que hacen honor al libro. A mi juicio, imperdible!
