During the Nazi occupation of Rome (1943-44), Pope Pius XII adopts a controversial attitude of neutrality towards the arrest and deportation to Germany of thousands of Jews; however, at the same time, he will use all kinds of resources to try to save as many of them as possible. At the same time, the story of three young people unfolds: Miriam, Davide and Marco, the first two Jews.
