Drama Based on a true story. Gabriel Lima keeps his wife and children imprisoned in their own house in order to protect them from the corruption and perversion of the outside world. The situation reaches a breaking point when the adolescent children get tired of their father's punishments. Ripstein re-elaborates here his themes of utopia versus reality and the limits of claustrophobia.
