- Synopsis
- Informe Plus+ | Ahora Quini' recovers the story of Enrique de Castro González, an exceptional footballer who marked an era in Spanish sport. Forged in Sporting de Gijón (the club to which he returned for his retirement), he rose to prominence in FC Barcelona, where his goals led the Blaugrana to win the European Cup Winners' Cup, two King's Cups and a Spanish Super Cup. Quini lifted seven Pichichi trophies (top scorer), five of them in the First Division, but the 'Wizard of the Goal' was much more than a striker with a special nose for goal; he was the footballer of the people, a close and generous sportsman. So much so that he even forgave his captors, who kidnapped him in 1981, a few days after the failed coup attempt of 23F. That year, despite being held captive for three weeks, he was also proclaimed Pichichi.
