- Synopsis
- Chen Mo sells flowers on the streets of Beijing, and Meiting shampoos hair in a barbershop. Children from incomplete families, they are drawn together not so much by romantic love, at least not initially, but by their desire to live out the life of a happy family. They will play a game: for Chen Mo, to act like Meitings father on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; and for Meiting, to become Chen Mos mother on the other days. They set up house in a small room, a complete world unto its own. But reality always has a way to catch up on dreamers. Liu Hao tells the young couples story with a strong and plain eloquence that is very moving, searching for emotional understanding.
