- Synopsis
- 3D animation short film directed and developed with just a laptop by the spanish director Juan Carlos Mostaza along 2005. Broken Wire won more than 40 international prizes, and it was nominated to Goya prize (Spanish Oscars). BW was one of the most awarded short films along 2006.
This thriller was made using just a laptop with new HD render techniques and it was filmed in 35mm to be watched at cinemas. Its author applied new techniques used on the artificial vision and military fields to the 3D animation world.
There are no dialogues, so the music was very important and it was arranged and composed by Oscar Xiberta Soto and performed by Orquesta Juventudes Musicales, Universidad de León. This soundtrack won a lot of prizes including the Jerry Goldsmith award.
