- Synopsis
- Two parallel stories unfold. The First Story is an investigation carried out by Burmese people today on the places, in Mandalay, Maymyo, Myaungmya, Twante, Syriam, Insein, Moulmein and Katha, where Myanmar's most famous Western writer, George Orwell, worked for five years as a policeman in the British Empire, between 1922 and 1927. The second story echoes the first in the present: a trip to the land of fear whose protagonists are the Burmese , Orwell and the modern Western world. When they have just taken a step to escape the grip of the dictatorship, the characters in this film begin to give another meaning to their lives, as if reading the major work of the writer English -1984 - acted on them as a developer. And it is in this Burma, which we know is governed by the world of magic and spirits, that the ghost of Orwell and the incarnations of the characters from his flagship novel are summoned in the film.
