Synopsis

At the age of 60, and 30 years after giving up long-distance swimming for a prominent career as a sports journalist, Diana Nyad becomes obsessed with accomplishing the feat that has always eluded her: the nearly 180-kilometer swim from Cuba to Florida, known as 'the Everest of swimming'. Determined to be the first person to make the swim without the protection of a shark cage, Diana embarks on a thrilling four-year adventure with her close friend and coach Bonnie Stoll and a dedicated team.
