- Synopsis
- Mr. de Sergeac killed his wife when he found her in bed with a friend. Fifteen years later, Simone, his daughter, still doesn't know the truth. The young woman becomes engaged to Michel Mignier whose family finds out what happened. Simone's old nurse tells her the story. Mr. de Sergeac is devastated by these disclosures and decides to go away. The children are moved and convince him to stay with them.
