Synopsis: Set in the mountains of Mindanao, an eccentric and over-protective Balyan (shaman) is famed for her spectacles. One night she shows her last miracle – she receives the Stigmata or the wounds of the crucified Jesus. Outraged by this Roman Catholic phenomenon, her family, the Buhi tribe of elders and a Catholic priest struggle with this unique dilemma that threatens to erase the traditional practices of her tribe. Either they keep the miracle a secret in order to save their age-old beliefs and therefore ensure the survival of their tribe, or reveal it to disastrous results. But a decision has to be made, and it will be a choice between death and transcendence.
