- Synopsis
- Daddy, made in collaboration with director Peter Whitehead, explores the relationship between a father and daughter. Like most of Saint Phalle’s work the film merges autobiography with fantasy, combining sexual scenes of incest with a reversal of power as the female character ridicules the father figure. Saint Phalle narrates the film, providing an almost psycho-analytical interpretation of its content and explains the otherwise incomprehensible. (Tate)
