- Synopsis
- The Cinema on the Road directed by Jang Sun-Woo is a personal essay on Korean cinema told as a journey through a country torn by war and crushed by military dictatorships and colonial oppression. The journey takes Jang Sun-Woo from Seoul to the de-militarised zone near the North Korean border, interviewing noted filmmakers, local farmers, and cinema-managers along the way, looking for the essence of the much-censored national cinema.
