- Synopsis
- In Logroño in 1959, Fabianito, an adolescent and apprentice poet, watches in bewilderment the grotesque organization of the wake for his great-grandfather, Don Fabián, ex-civil servant and bullfighting enthusiast, who has spent a lifetime’s savings on buying a television. Fabianito will discover love in these circumstances, while the family waits impatiently for the arrival of the mayor so he can name Don Fabían “Distinguished Citizen”. The incidents and visits overwhelm the family of the deceased, already complicated enough, leading to comic and macabre situations.
