- Synopsis
- It´s 1827. An English adventurer and his young wife cross the ocean with three hundred coffee plants brought from Yemen. They overcome all the obstacles on the journey aboard a brigantine and finally arrive at the Soconusco in Chiapas. There they seek to fulfill their dream of prosperity, unaware that the final battle will be fought by Emma, the baby Emily carries in her womb. Chiapas was then an autonomous state, recently liberated from Guatemala and was undecided about its annexation to Mexico. Amid the beauty and hostility of the jungle, a love story arises that frames the arrival of coffee to Chiapas.
