Synopsis / Plot
Vin Diesel and Paul Walker reteam for the ultimate chapter of the franchise built on speed—Fast & Furious. New Model. Original Parts. Heading back to the streets where it all began, they rejoin Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster to blast muscle, tuner and exotic cars across Los Angeles and floor through the Mexican desert in the new high-octane action-thriller. When a crime brings them back to L.A., fugitive ex-con Dom Toretto (Diesel) reignites his feud with agent Brian O’Conner (Walker). But as they are forced to confront a shared enemy, Dom and Brian must give in to an uncertain new trust if they hope to outmanuever him. And from convoy heists to precision tunnel crawls across international lines, two men will find the best way to get revenge: push the limits of what’s possible behind the wheel.
Critics' reviews
  • "Ramped up, amped up, but going nowhere. (...) turned shamelessly into a monotonous unofficial edition of the Grand Theft Auto gaming series. (...) By 2009, the franchise has nothing new to offer. (...) Rating: ★★ (out of four)"
  • "A loud, dumb movie, but its male, car-obsessed audience will probably enjoy it anyway."
  • "All four films feature terrific stunts. But 'Fast & Furious" is the first film since the original to be smart about how far to stretch logic without sacrificing the desired macho swagger and revved-up emotions."
  • "Is exactly and precisely what you'd expect. Nothing more, unfortunately. (...) I admire the craft involved, but the movie leaves me profoundly indifferent. After three earlier movies in the series, which have been transmuted into video games, why do we need a fourth one? Oh. I just answered my own question. (...) Rating: ★½ (out of four)"
