Synopsis

An unknown truck-driver runs over Mukki, a young Native American, then flees, leaving him for dead at the roadside. Thomas, a European fisherman who has come to be alone in Canada’s Great White North, sets off in his pursuit. This reaction intrigues the Canadian police, and Officer Laurie Gagnon in particular, who is keen to pacify the old resentments that eat away at the reservation. His pride stung, the victim’s uncle, John, also joins the chase. Yet they are all unaware that finding the black truck, on the edges of the inhabited part of the country, will re-open painful wounds before finally leading to justice.
