At the eve of the Second World War, one of the first color films, which has preserved for us the parade of athletes, which was held in 1939 on Red Square in Moscow. Similar parades in the Soviet Union was not so much sport as ideological activities - bright, colorful activities to demonstrate the solidarity of Soviet youth, her physical and moral commitment to work and the defense of the Motherland. So was embodied in this newsreel tape parade in 1939. Young, smiling faces, colorful streamers and party atmosphere, it seems what waited in front of them was a bright and happy life. Blooming youth, who still did not know what awaited them just two years later...
