Synopsis
Sometimes the most wonderful things come in the smallest packages.

A lonely Charwoman is given a magic seedling by a Beggar Woman and is delighted when she wakes up to find that within the petals of the flower that has sprouted overnight is a beautiful little girl (Star Wars' Carrie Fisher) who is no bigger than a thumb.

Thumbelina is as smart and kind as she is beautiful, which is why Mother Toad thinks she'd make a perfect wife for her toad son-and kidnaps her to live on a lily pad in a swamp!

With help from some kindly fish, Thumbelina manages to escape. As she tries to find her way back home, she encounters some interesting creatures, but it's the Prince of Flowers (Gentle Ben's William Katt) who finally wins her over with his big heart and little size.
