Synopsis

TV series (2011-2020). 9 seasons. 2,300 episodes. Carlos snatches his newborn son from Pepa, his maid and lover, to give him to his wife, whose baby has just died in childbirth. After being expelled from the village, she plucks up her courage and vows never to forget the child. Years go by and Pepa has become an expert midwife who goes from town to town until she reaches Puente Viejo, a small village. As fate would have it, there she meets Tristán, a retired soldier who has returned from the war and is married to Angustias, an unbalanced woman. Between Pepa and Tristan a love as passionate as it is impossible is born.
