- Synopsis
- Edith is the daughter of Count Wolfhagen and heir to her father’s fortune, but the Count is also a friend of a moneylender, James Pendleton, who is named as heir if Edith and Baron Sternberg, her fiancé die. After the Count dies, Pendleton proposes to Edith but is rejected. Enlisting the aid of Gar el Hama,Pendleton plans to abduct Edith.
