- I filmed sunsets with the techniques of time-lapse and multiple exposures on 16mm film from the same position and angle for 5 years. While the days repeat, there is never the same sky. Time that has passed will not return. But, the sun will rise again. (Shinya Isobe)
Born in 1982 in Yokohama, Shinya Isobe graduated from Tokyo Zokei Universityʼs Graduate School and from the Image Forum Institute of the Moving Image. His latest work 13 was awarded the Ken Burns for Best of the Festival at the 59th Ann Arbor Film Festival.
