- Synopsis
- The documentary shows the unique story of Pep Gimeno "Botifarra", a phenomenon of music, popular and traditional song in Valencia. Botifarra began singing in the Puig street of Xàtiva in 1975, with only 15 years old, and from 1978 he toured the villages of the regions of the Costera and Vall d'Albaida, to record popular songs transmitted orally for centuries, interpreted by the last cantaors and cantaores. The subsequent success of Botifarra, from the recording of his first solo album in 2006, has made the new generations sing those forgotten songs (and now renewed and updated) in the same way they sing the commercial music they hear in the media.
