On the day of his scheduled execution, a serial killer sentenced to death is the subject of a last-minute, court-ordered psychiatric evaluation to see if the prisoner is mentally fit for sentencing. The killer, named Edward, surprises the psychiatrist by claiming that he is actually a demon and wants the execution to go ahead.
