The story starts in june 1994 with the disturbing disappearance of Nicholas Barclay, a 13 year-old boy from Texas. Three-and-a-half years later news of the case comes in: the boy has been found in Spain and claims to have survived the tortures of a group of enigmatic kidnappers.
